The American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine (AIUM) began publishing its online blog as a way to encourage discussion, dialogue, and sharing within the ultrasound community.

To facilitate that objective, the AIUM does allow visitors to post comments. It is AIUM’s goal to allow as many comments as possible. However, there are situations and content that the AIUM will not tolerate or allow. Therefore, the AIUM will delete comments it feels are:

• Spam
• Unlawful
• Libelous
• Abusive or threatening
• Offensive, hateful, or vulgar
• Obscene or profane
• Racially, ethnically, religiously, sexually, or politically objectionable
• Purely sales oriented

The idea behind a blog is to connect with and listen to the AIUM customers and visitors, even if we don’t necessarily like what they have to say. That being said, the AIUM will not censor comments simply because they are negative.
